Corner Club Privacy Policy
Corner Club is a game that the live chat plays, on a 24/7 stream from the Corner Club YouTube channel, @CornerClubTWM. Tellwright Multimedia LLC (“we”) makes and runs it. This policy covers what Corner Club reads from YouTube, what it keeps, who sees it and how to have it deleted.
In short:
- Corner Club reads the channel’s live chat through YouTube API Services to run the game. Viewers never sign in to it or give it access to their accounts.
- Your cleaned-up name, team and moves in the game show on the public stream and its saved replays. They can also appear in !points answers in chat and in our clips. We never sell your data.
- We keep your game data on the computer that runs the stream. We delete your name, team and points 30 days after your last chat message.
- To have it deleted sooner, email support@
tellwrightmedia.com with your channel handle. We do it within 7 days.
Corner Club uses YouTube API Services
Corner Club uses YouTube API Services. A program on our computer, which we call the bridge, connects the game to the Corner Club channel through them.
YouTube’s own handling of your data is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy. Using YouTube, live chat included, is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Only the channel owner signs in, and agrees to this policy in doing so. The bridge asks Google for one YouTube permission (youtube.force-ssl), a broad one to manage the channel. It uses it only for what’s listed under “What Corner Club reads and does”, and never sees the owner’s password.
The owner can remove Corner Club’s access at any time by running npm run signout in the bridge folder, or on Google’s permissions page. Anyone can ask us to delete their Corner Club data: email support@
Corner Club works with YouTube, but YouTube and Google don’t make, sponsor or endorse it.
Corner Club’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Corner Club reads and does
The bridge reads only the Corner Club channel’s own chat, broadcasts, stream keys and subscriber count, never another channel’s videos, chat or statistics. Each chat message comes with its sender’s channel details, which the table covers.
| What | From where | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Your channel ID | Live chat | Telling players apart. Your team, points and any hide are kept under it. |
| Your display name | Live chat | Shown on the stream after our name filter cleans it. A name that fails shows as a stand-in, like “Green player 4821”. Moderators can also hide a player by name. |
| Your message text | Live chat | Reading game commands like !grn and !push. Never shown on the stream or saved, except a name a moderator types after !hide or !unhide. Chatting also warms the cube and adds to a team player’s game points, which have no cash value. |
| Message ID and time sent | Live chat | Skipping repeats, messages from before the bridge joined, and its own replies. Kept in memory only. |
| Moderator, owner and member flags | Live chat | Letting moderators and the owner use !hide, !unhide and !names, and spotting Corner Club’s own replies. The member flag isn’t used. |
| Super Chat and Super Sticker amount, currency and tier | Live chat | A banner with the amount and your cleaned-up name, and progress toward the next chaos event. |
| The message written with a Super Chat or membership milestone | Live chat | Nothing. It arrives with the rest but is never shown, saved or used. |
| New memberships, and memberships someone gifts | Live chat | A “NEW MEMBER” banner with the cleaned-up name of the new member, or of the person who gave the gift. People who receive a gift aren’t shown. |
| Bans and timeouts: who, the type and how long | Live chat | Hiding that viewer’s name on the stream (until a timeout ends), and a log line with their name and channel ID. |
| Profile picture, channel link, verified badge, membership level and gift count | Live chat | Nothing. They arrive with messages but are never used, shown or saved. |
| Subscriber count | The channel, every minute | The chaos meter on the stream. No other channel statistic is used. |
| Broadcast titles, descriptions and status; the stream keys’ names, status and settings | The channel | Running the 11 h 55 min blocks and checking that video is arriving. |
| Video category, tags and languages | The channel | Copied from one block’s video to the next. |
| Channel name and ID at sign-in | The channel | Shown once to the owner, to confirm the right channel. Not saved. |
| Team, points, cooldowns and when you last chatted | The game, from your commands | Running the game and picking each season’s MVP. |
Points, teams, scores and MVPs are Corner Club’s own game data, made by the game from what players type. They aren’t YouTube data or statistics.
With the owner’s sign-in, the bridge also acts on the Corner Club channel, and only on it:
- Creates each block’s broadcast, connects it to the stream key, starts and ends it, and checks every 2 minutes that it’s live. It deletes only a broadcast it made that never went live.
- Gives each new broadcast its own title and description, with the date and day or night filled in, and copies the last one’s category, tags and languages. If a broadcast it made goes live in a later block, it updates that broadcast’s title and description to match, unless its title was changed in YouTube Studio. It sets the privacy and latency, marks it “not made for kids” and has YouTube record it for the replay.
- Sets our own thumbnail art once on each broadcast it makes or finds live.
- Posts answers to !points in its live chat, as the channel. It posts nothing else in chat.
Who sees it
- The public stream and its saved replays: anyone watching sees your cleaned-up name, team and game moves, and the season MVP’s name and points. On stage, a Super Chat shows your name and the amount, never its message. YouTube’s own chat still shows the message to everyone, live and in the replay.
- Live chat: when you type !points, Corner Club may post your answer in the live chat as the channel, for everyone to see. It holds your on-stage name, points, team and rank. Answers post only while the stream is live: at most 25 a day, one per viewer every 10 minutes, and none for hidden viewers.
- Clips: we may post short clips of the stream as YouTube Shorts and on TikTok and Instagram (@CornerClubTWM). They can show the names on stage at the time.
- Our phone alerts: if they’re on, the computer sends Healthchecks.io a status check every 2 minutes. It says “ok”, or briefly what broke, which can include a broadcast ID or YouTube’s error message. It never includes viewer data.
YouTube keeps the saved replays, with their chat and the !points answers. We never sell your data, and share it with no one beyond what’s listed here.
The game itself shows no ads, and no one else places content in it. If the channel joins the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube may show its own ads with the stream and replays.
Where it’s kept and how long
Everything the game and the bridge keep is in files on the one computer that runs the stream, which we control. There’s no cloud database.
To protect it, the bridge’s local server only answers that same computer. It talks to YouTube over encrypted connections and never sees the channel owner’s password.
| Data | Kept where | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Chat text, Super Chat messages, profile pictures and channel links | Not saved | Never kept, except a name a moderator types after !hide or !unhide (see the moderation log) |
| Your player: channel ID, cleaned-up name, team, points, cooldowns and when you last chatted | The game’s save file and its hourly backups (the last 48) | Up to 30 days after your last chat message. If you never join a team: 1 hour in the game, and up to about 2 days in the backups. |
| Your name as a season MVP | The game’s hall of fame | Deleted with your player |
| A hide, ban or timeout: your channel ID, the reason and its times | The moderation file | Up to 30 days after your last chat message, or after the hide if the bridge didn’t see that message. A timeout stops hiding you when it ends. |
| Moderation log: the name and channel ID of anyone hidden, unhidden, banned or timed out, names typed after !hide or !unhide, and the moderator’s name for each command | The bridge’s log | 30 days |
| Names chat used, the name filter’s results, message IDs, and who asked for !points lately | Memory only, never saved | Gone when the bridge restarts. Names chat used go within 30 days. |
| Names we let past the name filter by hand | A word list on the computer | We take them off by hand within 30 days of adding them, and yours within 7 days if you ask us to delete your data. |
| A deletion request in progress: your channel ID and names | A short to-do file | Until 15 minutes after the game’s next daily restart |
| Game history: corner hits, joins, purchases, chaos events, new memberships, Super Chat amounts and currencies, and the subscriber count each time it changes (like “120 subscribers”), with no names or channel IDs | The game’s event log | No set limit for the events. The Super Chat amounts and currencies, subscriber numbers and YouTube’s broadcast IDs in them go after 30 days. |
| The channel’s broadcast IDs, titles and times, and its subscriber counts | The bridge’s log and files | 30 days, in the log and in the bridge’s list of broadcasts. The game’s save file keeps only the latest count. |
| The IDs of the stream key and the last broadcast | The bridge’s files | Checked with YouTube at every block, and kept after sign-out (see “Removing Corner Club’s access”) |
| The channel owner’s sign-in | The bridge’s files | Until the owner signs out, or about 25 days after Google first refuses it |
| Emails you send us | Our support mailbox | 30 days after we’ve handled your request |
While the bridge runs, it deletes each kind of data on its own when its time is up. If the computer has been off, it catches up as soon as it starts again. Chatting again starts your 30 days over.
Deleting your data
Email support@
What stays, and why:
- A hide on our stream goes with the rest. A ban or timeout in YouTube’s chat is YouTube’s own, so it stays with YouTube.
- Game history stays, since it never held your name or channel ID.
Deleting your data from Corner Club doesn’t affect what YouTube keeps, such as your messages and the !points answers in saved replays. To delete your own messages on YouTube, use YouTube’s site or apps, or another authorized app that can delete them. The !points answers and our clips are the channel’s own posts, so you can’t remove them yourself: if one shows your name, email us and we’ll take it down within 7 days.
Removing Corner Club’s access
The owner can sign out at any time by running npm run signout in the bridge folder. It revokes the access with Google right away. It then deletes the sign-in, the saved broadcast history, the log lines about broadcasts and subscriber counts, and the broadcast IDs, subscriber numbers and Super Chat amounts in the game history.
The IDs of the stream key, the last broadcast and any broadcast still starting stay, so the schedule can resume with the same settings after a new sign-in. The last subscriber count in the game’s save file stays too: it’s our own channel’s count, which we keep as the channel’s owner. Viewer data and the moderation log follow the times in the table above.
If access is removed on Google’s permissions page instead, the bridge deletes the same things about 25 days after Google first refuses the sign-in.
This website
This website, tellwrightmedia.com, sets no cookies, runs no analytics and shows no ads. Cloudflare hosts it.
When you open a page, your browser sends the usual details: your IP address, the browser and device type, and the page’s address. Cloudflare receives these and handles each visit. We don’t use these details to find out who you are or to follow you.
The Corner Club pages link to the stream rather than embed it, so YouTube’s player doesn’t load here. The game itself sets no cookies.
Children
Corner Club isn’t aimed at children under 13, and its stream is set to “not made for kids” on YouTube. Taking part means chatting on YouTube, which has its own age rules. If you think a child has taken part, email us their channel handle and we’ll delete their data.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page whenever Corner Club starts reading something new, using data in a new way or sharing it with someone new. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
